Laundry, cooking, sorting, tossing.

.
.
Over and over, here, then there, and on.  Not quite finishing any single area, but hitting it so well that a relapse would take... a very long time.  Buying time in the future, but also really taking some serious care for today.  I have done most of the laundry.  There are two partial baskets left.  I have done... seven, eight?  I did everything.  Whether it was "clean" or not.  How long has some of that been hung, or folded?  I just don't know.  And, yes, I have been putting it up, folded or hung, after every load.

I am amazed, more and more, at how much I can do.  Why not a month ago?  It isn't just the appliances.  I suppose I do need a spark, a reason, a push.  But there has to be a way.  Even then, the last four years now I have been able to, for longer and longer periods, if still with serious falls from time to time, to do more and more work.  This, right now, especially if I really to finish, will be the most and the fastest I have done solo.  It is on par with how much work I did when my mother would visit.  And over a similar time-span.  Only I am not crashing.  Now, I am doing it at my pace, and what I want and see, and that does make some difference.  But that wouldn't cover the difference between what I used to do and what I am now doing, on my own.

For dinner, lamb chops and a romaine salad.  The salad is rather plain, but with homemade ranch it really works.  I figured out some of my food problem.  One is, I need to vary my meals a bit more.  Lamb chops are great, but wear on the palate quickly all by themselves.  The same with, pretty much, everything.  Mixing a salad in with the chops, plus the dressing, and a small side of home-made mayo in which to dip the lamb?  That really helps.  The other thing is that the cinnamon gum is burning out my tastebuds.  That is handy, but it's... a taste-bud killer.  There are advantages.  I just think the disadvantages are huge.

I went ahead and ordered boxes and more shelving.  Why buy?  Uniformity.  As I begin organizing, I will begin packing.  In time I will whittle down what I save, and sort it.  Bit by bit, what I won't need in Alaska will be given or tossed.  No one seems to want pretty much anything.  Which is fine.

Oh... a bit of gaming then back to organizing.  It is the weekend, and I am taking it easy.  No real choice and wise to boot.  Even so, what I am doing is really important and bigger than it seems.  I am truly absolutely amazed.  Back to resting so that I can kick into low shortly.  I am hoping to clear two more areas, finish another couple loads of laundry, sort the two baskets of laundry, and collect and start another load of dishes.  Oh, I did find some rubber gloves that sort of fit.  All I could find, then, was extra large.  A bit small, and the cuffs are short.  I am really hoping what I ordered from amazon, at 18" and 23", and extra extra large, will do the trick.  If they are right, I will order a couple of each more.  Ugh!

Later.
