As I wrote, it really isn't a fever. It's more like that feeling you get when you have worked out, perhaps in the cold, a bit too long. Splotches of overheated skin, that runs a bit deeper than the top layers. I don't have nausea, or muscle tightness, or other issues that would go with the flu or a cold. I have the furnace turned down as low as I dare. Frozen pipes just don't sound fun this time of year.
I haven't been able to get to much. I think that my plans washed away with the rain and threat of a freeze, I just lost the wind from my sails. I may just go take a nap. Or not. My body is tired, but with things left to do my mind has a difficult time settling. Even when I choose not to take unnecessary risks, I really would rather be out. I can't lead my life according to feelings. It's a business, sort of, really. And, yet, a business is based not just on risk taking, but more on risk assessment. I do not wish to be stuck in town, or worse in a ditch, for something that has a bit more time. I have had to learn to be patient, I have never learned to like it. All good though. If you liked everything, where would the fun be in that!?!
On the other side, I really need to find a way to back down. But I can't quite do that until I get these jobs done. I am wearing thin, but can't relax until it is finished. So... Still, risk assessment. I may take a nap. If I can. I can get to the other stuff when I have regained my footing. The heart does feel tired but it has been much more tired before. I still think there was a time or dozen where I died for short periods, just because of the lack of treatment. Odd that I didn't stay dead. Sometimes I seemed to have fought it, others times not so much. I just think it did happen. Now, with some treatment, and knowledge, I don't get that close anymore. Probably until the final time, unless I get hit by a meteor or bus or something. But I do know that sort of sensation. It's just much milder these days, and I have been able to work through it fairly well.
Later.
