Tonight?

I don't know quite yet.  I do have some ideas.  The same old ideas for the last few days.  I have turned the furnace up with some hope I can get to work.  Sometimes the heat helps get started, sometimes it simply allows me to work longer.  Sometimes, of course, it short circuits everything.  Knowing which is has the greatest potential, then using heat, or cold, for what is wanted is a bit of an art.  There is some science to it, but... science is actually an art, no matter what they try to say.  Tonight, I think, heat will help me start and keep me in it.  Though, at some point, cutting the heat back a bit will then help keep going further, if there is potential for more work.

Dishes are the first thing on the list.  There aren't many, but they are rather nasty.  I figure I can kick out a load, reset it all, do it again, rinse, then dry... all yet tonight.  Not a huge number of dishes, but as noted, they are nasty.  During the changes between washings, I will grab hot soapy water for cleaning the stove and counters.  I am hoping I can get all of that done tonight.  As well, I would like to clear and clean the table and the freezer top.  One last thing is that I would like to bring the other freezer around and put it back in operation.  Soon I will clear the main freezer in the kitchen, putting that into the smaller one, then letting it warm, cleaning it, and getting it ready for the next animal.  Hog?  Wait, I think I have lost track of that.  Gah.  I'll get to it.  Hmm... a check, in advance?  Cash?  I'll wait until I have cash, and set it aside for when I place the order.  That'll make sure.  I can always afford, easily, the hog or the butchering, it's the combo that can be tight.

I have fed the worms.  Since I was sleeping so long, I fed them six cubes.  They are eating very heavily.  I may need to set up another five gallon bucket until the 18 gallon buckets arrive, to spread the worms out, check to make sure the soil isn't getting to wet, and to keep stress at a lower level.

When the sun comes up, I am hoping to plant three horseradish roots, in containers, and set up all the containers with soil for when the 'artichokes arrive.  The rhubarb is going right in the ground.  Though, for now, I may keep the planters indoors, maybe where they can get sun.  It may still be a bit too cold, maybe even frosting from time to time, to let them just stay outdoors.  But I don't think the roots will last long without planting?  Ugh... I'll give it a go.  As well, later, I will do a few bits of business.  I may need to make a trip to the post office as well.  Oh... and to fill the last of the salt and sugar jars, then vacuum seal those.  Right...  Bit by bit.

Or... not?  :p  I really don't know.  This is sort of the goal, if I can keep track and keep at it... as soon as the cave warms enough for me to start.  Tricks of the trade, if they work.  Hmm... perhaps a bite or two as well, as I warm.  Later.
