Couldn't.  On the good side, I did get the animals fed and watered this morning, just a bit past dawn.  I feel much better knowing, for certain, that there is food and water for them, especially if I will be down until late afternoon.  I did what I could to go down, just could not sleep.

It is cool, too, as a start out there.  Not cold, say 57... the lowest I saw it.  Probably warming.  The inside of the house is down to 70~72.  This front room, after everything was closed down, is already to 75.  I'm not sure about upstairs, but ill know shortly.  I will probably turn the ac on.

I had turned the timer on, last time.  But that didn't seem to turn off the machine.  I wouldn't bother today, as I want it to be as cool as possible while I sleep.  I would like to find a way to get it to turn off, though, for naps.  I'll have to tinker with it.  If you turn off all the automatic "smart" systems, which try to "save you money", it works well.  Unfortunately, it has to be reset every time it is turned off, then back on.  It is a very stupid smart machine.  It was rather cheap, probably because of that.  So... at least I saved money, for some inconvenience.  I'll do that trade all day long.

Hmm, then again, perhaps I should put the other ac in, and let it run instead, today.  It's a workhorse.  It was cheap too, but has no timers, bells, whistles, of any sort.  But it... works well.  Yea, if I can find a 14 or 16 three prong cord, I just might get that one going instead.  But, for now, just one at a time.
