Some of it. I did get the water hose connected. Turned on. And it seems to work? Can't get it to run long enough to be sure, can't hear it (it really is quiet, if it is actually running?), and the controls just don't function. It won't take input and start a load. Pushing a number of buttons has gotten it to seem to turn on. But... no.
I can't get it to level, either. I have... my doubts. Perhaps tomorrow it can be sorted out. But, for tonight, I am done.
Oh, it will need a casement. tips forward when loading otherwise. No, that... is required for practical use. Oh, and yes, I read through the instructions, the my ability. For installation, leveling, and operation. It just is not working.
Blood sugar is being weird. Just a bit more to eat and the meter reads 140? It shouldn't. I doubt if I have had 1,500 calories today, and all of it pretty much solidly carnivore. Cottage cheese, full fat, was the only thing that might be considered dubious. But I... count that as carnivore.
It is just now, 21:45, getting down to 70. Pretty warm in here, because it is warming up earlier, and heater to higher temps. Just the way it goes. For that reason I am changing fan placement and direction a bit, with one fan blowing up the stairs, or aimed at the stairs. I am hoping that will make it even a degree or two cooler. Oh, I can handle 84, even 86 these days. Would rather not. I have a fan going up there, too. But it... doesn't do all that much. I have tried various placements, directions, speeds. It just... doesn't do much.
Usually, it is cooler up there with the door to the downstairs closed. Strangely, to my way of thinking. I haven't tried it open, with a fan blowing at the steps before though either. You can... do things, change things. But only so many varieties over time. And you really have to give it time. Sometimes something has to click in, or change. And that can take some time. And, really, either way, you have to sort it. Let it work for a while... and just... get used to the new shift, before deciding. Or... I do.
Well, on to bed. I'll set the alarms for earlier. And hope to be up and at it. If I can rise early enough, before anyone shows, I'll see about getting up on one of the low roofs, and doing some stick removal. Ugh. But, okay. Goodnight.

And I ended up leveling and bracing with 2x4's, then above the door used two metal screw in braces to secure to existing countertop (which I understand you lack). I think there are some little things that may prevent a cycle but they usually pop an error code. Empty rinse (jet dry) stuff, dirty food trap (not your problem), had something happen with the drain (connected to the sink garbage disposal) gunk from the disposal plugged the dishwasher drain (also suspect not your problem). I also remember some "growing pains" while we were still figuring it out, too many features require a good tech manual (can't find mine this minute).
(on/off)- then (Auto)- then (start) in that order. shut door and you should hear a faint "whirr" as it pumps down the water sump(I can hear water running into sink drain at this point, you wont get that without adding water for it to pump out) the red floor "lazer" tells you it's running.
You did open the water valve, didn't you? Please realize after working for just about 40 years with Mechanics/ engineers of all levels of "in"-experience, and competency, book smart or down home common sense..... I find it doesn't hurt to ask the obvious question, you ARE getting water to the washer, right? Have to ask.
"sea story", scratch that... Lab story... Last Thurs. morning we had a multicraft building shutdown to do (emergency power upgrade, and plumbing work) "short version" (long available on request). Came back on shift Thurs. night/ Fri. morn. Days/ Swing couldn't lower the pressure in the Heating Hot Water sys. Boilers at 80# (relief setpoint, also city water supply pressure) Normal boiler pressure 40#. We normally just bleed pressure down and note it. They'd already escalated it up the chain for a bad expansion tank, (yesterday was fine? today bad?) What changed? (an all too unasked question) I arrived to look things over, at their request, since they'd already diagnosed the problem, and escalated action. Both boilers at 80# reliefs weeping by, I crack open a boiler drain to start. Troubleshooting basics " where do we get the water pressure (makeup) from?", on the wall 20' over there... From where I'm standing even with these eyes...80#-40# regulator, inlet open, reg. out open, and... Bypass around regulator ...OPEN applying full city water pressure to the system. Two shifts of "operators",their supervisors, facilities area manager, project manager, etc. Missed one simple important valve, blamed it on something else (and they'll stick to it rather than ALL of them missed a valve that a... well, me, found within 2 min of entering the boiler room.)
Had to ask.

I... the problem is solved. Nothing I did wrong, no bad code, just... for my machine? You have to open the door to input settings. It has to be ajar, but it doesn't say so anywhere in the manual or elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteThe folk who helped are used to opening their dishwasher(s) to set it, so did that without thinking, in spite of my dishwasher being open, so not needing it. Ha. Okay. At least I did put it all together, correctly. It's... running quite nicely now. And much quieter than anticipated. It suggests up to 42 decibels, but I... guess I think that is louder than it is. It is, after all, where I linger. I guess I didn't realize where I live is so quiet.
More of the story, if/when you have time. I am... story, and music, based. As far as I can tell, it is why we are here... to make, then tell, stories. Music just being one form of storytelling? If you wish, I'd be interested in hearing the whole thing.
Good catch. Of course they can't suggest otherwise. It's their bacon. Goes to competency. I do wonder how many people can't think outside the box, let alone in it?
Ah, yes. It is the little things. I did a whole haiku operation on that theme. Whether it is sand in the shoe, a food you can't escape but can't tolerate, or such. The big things seem to tend themselves, it's always down to the little things.
Oh, I forgot, open door, load dishes, push the three buttons, and close the door...sorry. Mine, being older, claims 44Db quiet, I'll let you know they do get slightly louder over time, I consider that a feature to aging ears. But you may wonder, "what's that noise?" look for the laser.

All good. I don't mind a few extra decibel. Not even an issue. The way I focus, there is a good chance I wouldn't hear it even if it was a submarine diesel. I... ask any woman I have tried to match with. *grins* Especially, though, high pitched screeching. Breaks wearing, and women. :p
ReplyDeleteGood to hear the thing won't become a white elephant. Now, I may use auto, but I'll also use the special drying feature, and sometimes the sanitize feature. Just... because.
The sanitize will be good for prepping canning jars for ghee, sauerkraut, or such as well.
I think mine has a feature to clean out jars extra well, but I didn't... see it. Too many more important issues on my mind, even if looking for the devices was in the back of my mind. Though, maybe, that was a feature that has been removed, or was on a different model? It is supposed to be able to clean out jar/jugs extra well. I'll do more looking. Could use that to keep up on kefir jars, so I can keep up on kefir 'farming'.
If you have never thought of kefir, homemade, it's a thought. But... it is a daily daily, or nearly. The only real problem I have had is keeping up on jars and jugs for fermenting and storing it. Hand washing those is... a bugger. But, since you have a dishwasher? Would be okay.
