Okay?

.
.
Wow.  Good think I had people help with the roof, do the roofing really.  I did get up there.  And I helped a very little.  Just handing over shingles.  There was absolutely no way I could have stayed up on the roof, handled the shingles (even gotten them up there), and nailed them down.  The roof was steeper than I... could have guessed.

I needed help to even get up.  And feared getting down.  I did make it down without any extra help.  But... barely.  Wow, that was brutal.  I am absolutely shot just from that bit.

The roofing is done, shingles up.  But wow did that... get me.  And I did so very little.

Then the dishwasher was sorted.  No real problem.  It is just that the door has to be ajar to set the controls.  Since mine is accessible, I didn't naturally open it to get at the controls.  He who does things uses a dishwasher at his new place, and did at his parents' home.  So, opened it naturally, out of instinct, without realizing that was required... until I saw the issue.  It's running.

I haven't cut panels for the casement and the base of the countertop for it.  And won't.  Not today.  It is already starting to warm out there.  Not tomorrow, either.  I will need rest today, and tomorrow is Sunday.  And, I will need rest on Sunday, too.  Monday, early, I hope.

The only work I might do is putting the ac in the window upstairs, closing up, and turning it on a bit before bedtime.  I don't need it terribly cool, but to have it cooler would be nice.  Just run it a few hours before sleeping, and let it run for an hour or two after.  Should be enough.  It was just too warm last night.  And it is supposed to be hotter today.

Oh, I still have to level the thing.  It just isn't leveling well.  I'll have to figure that out as well.  I did get the brackets, too.  So the casement, if not pretty, will go together easily enough.  And be easy to remove or alter in some future time.  Once I get it set up, then I get to look around for a better more true counter topper?  I think so.  My mother had an idea.  I haven't investigated that, yet.  But... will.  Soon.

Today?  Not sure.  I'll rest, mostly.  Perhaps get a meal going before long, and coffee.  Later this afternoon I will add moisture to the wound.  That really did work well.  It's a bit tricky, getting fluid in and the dressing closed back up, but... I'm... getting it.  It really is improving.  Each little thing I do, improve, handle, seems to help.  More protein.  Additional fluid.  Not stacking the fiber mesh.  Cleaning the wound surround (without getting the cleaner in the wound!).  Though patience seems to be more important, persistence and patience.  Willingness to learn, to listen, if also to try something new when things change, even on my own.  Even if I am wrong, if I bring the problem, and my solution, to the doc and nurses, they... tend to be able to agree or suggest otherwise.  It's... working.

The wound is getting smaller, top to bottom, side to side, and in it's depth.  It hasn't been this small in... eight months?  And, it looks fresher.  He did have to debride the thing this time.  And last.  But it was to do with dryness, and my handling of that.  By the looks of it, that may not be as needed hereon out?  Will see.

I may need to go on back up to nap a bit.  Getting up on a roof is a white-knuckle event, these days.  That aspect alone wearies me.  But, when, doing a bit of helping, that too got to me.  But I really wanted to... try... to do something.  I'm just a bit old and relatively weak to do what I thought... I could do.  At least I didn't fall, this time.  Meh.

Later.
