Cat fed. Test strips found, but then got caught up in straightening and
cleaning. So... now a break. I'll get the saw and base together
shortly. Was looking for the knee pads, as wrestling with the saw takes
a lot of work on the knees. Even though I have lost a lot of weight, my
knees are still a weak point. I'm pretty sure where they are, will get
them while resting. Or try.
Set eggs to boiling. Hoping this batch will be easier to peel.
Either way, fresh boiled eggs are a joy. Especially really good
eggs. These are eggs you really can't get commercially... truly free
range during the day, fed non-soy feed, truly good eggs. And the
colors! This time there are, the usual, brown in various shades.
But, this time, there are bright blue! And a few other colors.
Ah, the alarm... Back. And, found the knee pads right where I
thought they were. I just... kept meaning to get them, then being
distracted. Now I have them. It will make finishing the saw to
base operation much more comfortable. When... work hurts, it is
avoided? Or such.
Oh, on my break, I started looking up vids for woodworking topics I sort of
fantasize about. The routers might make some of these things more
realistically possible. Oh, nothing wrong with hand work. It's
just the time, and precision, and tools... and keeping those tools sharp...
that... make me think... not so much.
Sure, he can sharpen these things in seconds. I've never had much
luck. I tried with straight razors. The only reason I don't shave
with straight razors is because I can't figure out how to sharpen them, in
truth, and keep them sharp regularly. Further, paying to have them
sharpened hasn't been much more successful, on top of it costing a small
fortune. Some guys have it, some don't. Still... would... like to
try... or again? Meh.
-------
Eggs finished. This time, I cooled them as usual, but started peeling
them before they got cold. Are they fresher? Or was it the
warmth? All I know is they peeled really well this time. Only one
did I take off enough to see the yolk. A few others were a little
choppy... always have a few. But most of them were smooth and very very
clean. Ugh... I just had six of them, while still warm.
Delicious.
Now to finish my break, then get to the miter saw and stand. With knee
pads in hand, food in the belly (but not too much), and some vinegar water,
with electrolyte powder, to help with life. I think I took medicines,
vitamins, and minerals already? I think so. Ugh. Hate when I
am unsure, forget. But... I think so.
Ah, and I did find a few vids about these topics. I enjoyed watching
them on the first part of my break. I'll add them here. This time,
these will show. I checked before investing time in them.
Oh, and someone? I think they see. Believe? Not sure they
believe. But I tell you, I do see. Living and dead, beloved and at
once despised. I don't understand. Though, to be honest? I
think those who don't see are the strange ones. How can you not see
them? Fear? That was a problem, for me, at once. Now I...
don't fear. Realizing death, in a world of sin, is a grace makes a lot
of difference. Death isn't to be feared. Though, true, it is
unnatural. That was not how it was meant to be. On that part, I...
understand.
As for me? I am... beyond any doubt... different. I should very
truly be dead. There is no way my body is sustaining me.
Everybody, from medical to family, knows that. Just the suffering,
sometimes, should be enough to... if not kill me, force me to finish it.
Then again, I have finished it... and yet am. Don't judge. If
you... wish it done, do it yourself. My door... is open.
Yes... I know. I see that they see. Believe? Hope?
Hope against? It depends on which... moment... they are in.
Fear? Strangely, but wrongly. It is not me who they should
fear. Nor my station or situation. The One who says so, therefor I
am? Is the one they should fear. Though, if feared rightly, there
is no need to worry about that fear. Trust me? Few have gone,
done, what I have done. Few others could tell you. I tell you,
fear the Lord, no other thing, person, or situation. Amen.
Yes. So be it.
Once I understood sharpening and "working angles" for blade shape, from Axe to razor it's all the angle. I have shaved with several of my knives (not the whole face just the edges, shaping) but I don't like my "working/ carry" knives that narrowly sharp, damage and dullness too fast. I have my Great Grandfather's straight razor, too chicken to try it. I usually keep more hair on my face anyway. I'm overdue for at least a neckshave. Fan of mug and brush shavesoap.
ReplyDeletePulled out some steaks, and a package of deli chicken breast to thaw, still don't know what I'll have today. Two corning wear dishes of mac-n-cheese, languishing in the fridge, I can't do it. Just can't. The only "carby" thing that even sounds slightly good is a slice of sourdough with butter, not sure I want to go there too. Now I AM hungry (see that's one of my reasons for stopping... simple talks of simple food.)
I've had my leg down more than up, (several hunter gatherer forays into the kitchen and pantry) (maybe a couple eggs?) Wound is draining, clear, will go with that till bedtime.
I understand, with knife blades. And, at once, could sharpen at least okay. Mostly combat knives, pocket knives, and such. Never did learn chisels or plane blades though. And... even then, wasn't top of my class, if I didn't need to be. There is sharp, sharp enough, and never sharp enough. Two are okay, the other is a form of reality that goes beyond the limit of the blade.
ReplyDeleteReminds me, steak. Yes, steak, even chicken these days. I haven't been doing parts, but might try skin on, bone in, breast? But the hindquarters, of late, when parted, have been terribly prone to being bad. Even when I am very careful with thawing, and getting them cooked immediately. I am starting to like even chicken breast... if it is moist.
Yes, food talk. All good. Reminds me to eat, too.
Keep up on it. Running clear is good, as I see things. Do your best, love the dogs, say hello to the woman... maybe do something nice for her... flowers? Remember, doing good things for others isn't... always just for them. Amen.
"Knot" in leg draining, itching to slight burn with no pressure on it. Cut the foot out of one of my holy socks, slathered on Neosporin, covered w/ gauze and pulled the sock tube over. Feels much better.
ReplyDeleteGot in a couple eggs, wanting more, not sure what.
Strangely, the eggs 'cleaned me out'. Ugh. Not sure why. They were cooked a little more done than the last batch, and I think are fresher... unless these were the older ones? Anyway...
ReplyDeleteYep. Lots of things can be done for wounds. But pressure, for wounds, bruises, breaks, if you can handle it, really helps. I'm a firm believer, pun intended... and not? Meh.
Get some meat sticks. Though... I'd be careful about eating them too often, too many days in a row, and such. Just... good for a treat, from time to time. Maybe one bag of them. I'm taking a break from those. Carrots? Celery? Ranch or even italian dressing? Just thinking out of the box. Or... veggies and a bit of peanut butter, or better macadamia butter, or almond or pecan butter.
Hmm, reminds me... Nut butters and veggies, next time I'm at the store. Shouldn't, but... may. Beats peanut butter, if I can find clean food.
