There are good and bad things about most states. And, while Utah has it's bad, it also has it's good. Not often will you find a construction that comes off like this.

Yes, you heard that right, a city/state construction project that was built ahead of schedule and underbudget, and yeah, that is expected now. But too, the construction wasn't just to "create and save jobs". It is a functionally well thought out infrastructure capital addition to a growing economy. Utah might not have the room to grow that Texas does, due to limits to how much of a population can be maintained. But for what she has she is putting her best foot forward, and it shows. Now, to work on some of the intense bureaucracy.

As soon as the government figures out that putting women to work is keeping them from marrying and having families, perhaps it will scale back that particular form of 'social welfare'. Yes, buildings full of women, unmarried, hired to do nothing work, is the same as foodstamps or EBT cards, boys and girls. Which might well lead to social changes where a woman will be less likely to go through college for some useless degree and figure out how to find a husband and help him get through. A few things like that begin, and a reshaping of America back to better days will occur. Dominoes, stepping stones, call them what you will. Though I suspect a number of issues will have to go forward all at once, and with some certainty about them and on into some significant future, for the family to again take shape. The family being the key and backbone to any real change, here or there, then or now. As the family goes, so goes the nation. As is, the family is in court with decidedly anti-family "judges" and laws that land them in front of the "judges", or under the gun of such. With half or less women working bureaucratic jobs, or even replaced by men? Bureaucracy will be broken. Good riddance!

I was looking for a particular restaurant, and how to get to it. I would like to take my mother here when we are staying there. I'm not sure I want to stand in a long line though. While I am in town, since it is near a bookstore I would like to visit, I am hoping to get in and try the food. While I have excellent taste in Mexican food, compared to the average, and know "home cooking" from canned, my mother is even more discriminating. If it isn't right, she will go ahead and finish her plate but she gets a "that's crap" look on her face. She was taught the way to do Mexican food without allowances for slack. She expects that from everyone else. We both love Mexican food, too. The problem is, a multicourse meal requires several sauces and production lines which makes it very difficult for one or even two people to really cook. I am hoping this place lives up to it's reputation.

While having my printer working would be nice, the truth is hand writing instructions, then drawing a little map to boot, puts the notion of where to go more positively into my brain. I have found though, that some map programs online are very bad at getting you where you want to go. Following their instructions, there are two places I have never found. I suppose I could call, but time has never been on my side. It is probably close to where the maps indicated, just not exactly there. I do what I can.
