Yeah, I got everything on my list, did what I meant to do, and brought my friend along. He likes to window shop. And... there is always another thing or two he might like. I like shopping with him because you never know what he might be up to. Oh, he knows what he is about. Sometimes he shares it right off, sometimes he just likes to look, sometimes it surprises him. *pop* Oh, yeah. Going into the hardware store with him is the same as when me and a pal used to enter the candy store when we were kids. Ooh, look at that hammer! Hmm, chisels! Now THAT is a torque wrench. Even grocery shopping isn't bad, but I bet his sister is far better at that. We just get... easy good eats.
I tried the pick when I got home. I bought a five pounder as I found the other one, at half the weight, was... insufficient. For me, it makes no difference whether the pick is five or two and a half pounds. It is the time I use, up to some unknown but much higher weight, that will tell me when I am done. I also bought an axe and had to use that on a four to five inch root already. It cuts really well. I have yet to try the plungers and snake. My toilet will slowly drain, the one that has water still too it, but it won't technically flush. Not so good. I bought two different kinds of plungers. I made sure the snake can be wound, rather than to have to pull it and shove the line back into the box. Who knows how long that will continue to work. I did make sure it worked as advertised before leaving the store. Some things I simply have to buy locally, unless I know something works right off the bat.
About the Holy Spirit doing the changing? Yeah, that's about right. And, yet, I know there is only so much that can happen. Shortly after reading the comment I had a mind flash. I return home from something and the house is a mess (well, it is now, but... you know). And so I start yammering at the woman type. She tells me she has been busy, and it really sounds like it. Real things just came up. So, I offer to put my hands to it and I get started. She says something about something and I just say, "Because I still haven't gotten passed your boobs", as I watch them sway. Yeah, none of it is connected, but I still haven't gotten over boobs and probably never will. And, I still won't always know what she is saying, in part because of that. Oh, and I will still say what I say and probably do most of what I do, mostly. Yeah, even the Holy Spirit has limits. Although, in my little daydream, I did end up getting lucky with the wife type. Just... saying, again. Hey, it was an official Church sanctioned lucky, so hush it.
Well, on to a few things. I plan on using the pick tomorrow. I don't have anything else planned. I'm a bit low from the travel, shopping in four stores, and all the rest for now. It's getting hot, it said 72 F but even the little city always seems 10 F or more above air temps. Same temps out where I live feels just slightly cooler than air temps, for now. I did a first today. I went to a store to... ask for food donations for a charity. I didn't stammer, yammer, hee, or haw either. The guy I need to speak with isn't in until Monday, but is sounds like a probable positive. I had no idea grocers have quarterly... charity loads. Interesting. Now to keep up the follow-up.
Have a great day.
