It's not, for the most part, a mean mood. But it can sure present like it. Not sure what is going on. My comments have just been, heavy, almost... sometimes... just mean, even over the line a bit from time to time. I am trying to dial it back but it's...
Oh, I see the immaturity. I do. I also see why I am frustrated. Torn between this and that. Not sure what started it, where it is going, I just know I ought to be careful. But I don't have a mom to talk with me, or rules that others have to live by, just what I create. It gets tricky. Special? Well, in some ways, probably. Not always in the ways I might like to imagine, as well. Still, that doesn't help with constraint. Prayer isn't really helping me in the short run, so I sweat every time I see some red meat flying in the wind at someone's blog. Yum!
Oh well, I'll figure it out. Might take a pounding, by others, by myself. Sometimes it's just got to happen. But it IS delicious in the moment. Guilty, guilty, guilty... and... I am.
So... if you get a-tacked... do pardon. Even if you aren't sure, you... might be right. Still, if you are sitting on a tack... is there a reason for it? *grin* Yeah, I've been spoiling for it, and more... God help me, and you.
Were these both scenes from the original movie? I loved it and wished for a sequel. But I don't recall the first one...

No, from the first movie. I haven't heard of a sequel, but have been just as hopeful as you. To my knowledge, no sequel. Ten Wolverines, Spidermans, Hulks, and Thors, none of them worth a scene from The Incredibles. Argh!
ReplyDelete"The Incredibles" was a wonderful film that managed to capture a genuine superhero story dynamic. Along with the lack of a sequel I also regret no one's come out with an Edna Mode action figure.
ReplyDeleteEdna, the old maid who made it, but who adopts... certain people to try to fill that huge hole. Bittersweet, they used to become nuns or the crazy old aunt stereotypes. Some have found how to live well right up until they can no longer earn. Their wealth is stripped from them without people to help manage and the first time they become vulnerable.
ReplyDeleteAn Edna action figure? I didn't even know they had... well... I suppose I should have. My guess, since this was an actual, sort of, family friendly movie, with the left not watching with "excitement", and Edna exposing some things... neither the left nor the right were pushing for a doll for her?
I just woke up. I have no idea what I just wrote, if it was bad, stone me.
I tend to collect action figures whenever I have the financial wherewithal to do so. Mostly my particular favorites (which are occasionally not among the mainstream). For instance, out of the entire Star Trek universe, all I have is a Garak figure. I also have a Maleficent, a Hexadecimal, a TIE Bomber pilot and a Mirror Master (perhaps my favorite out of the Flash's Rogues Gallery).

ReplyDeleteWhile there is economic potential, I like to think that being slightly askew of mainstream is actually more normal. And, statistically, I am probably right. Then again mainstream is what someone or some thing or organization is trying to get you to buy or accept.
Buying what isn't mainstream, or believing outside of it, is as much an economic boon of the mind or even soul as it is in any other type of economy. Urhm, up to a point.
