Up a bit early?

.
.
Down right around 17:20?  Up at 1:45.  A shorter sleep, but good.  A good sleep though.  Only had to pee once, as well.  Very nice.  And, I may know why.  As I said, yesterday blood sugar got below two hundred for the first time in... a long, long while.  Keto sweetener, it works... and it doesn't.

As mentioned, on a typical American diet?  My blood sugar gets to 650 or higher... basically beyond the range of my glucometer to read.  But, on mostly keto, with the sweetener, it stays around 350, give or take twenty five points.  On carnivore, with the sweetener, it stays right around 215 to 230.

After just one day of not using sweetener?  With a starting read at 205 (probably only had one sweetened coffee the day before, a rare thing), blood sugar was 183, then 180, later in the day.  And, this morning?  I expected it to go back up.  But, no.  It is 183 this morning.  Nice.

I had wondered if cream raises blood sugar.  Seems not.  I was also a bit concerned about the soup.  But, apparently not an issue either, or as an occasional.  I really need to get back to carnivore, fully, though.  I would like to see what that will do, without sweetener.  I keep falling back on sweetener.  Not sure how to fix that.  Even so, while the low two hundreds isn't great, it is better than the mid to upper 600's.  If I can't quit the sweetener, or find a replacement that doesn't cause that problem?  Tit for tat, it is better.  Just not optimal.  Yes, I am addict to sweet!

Then again, I had slowed down on drinking... until Bud helped me quit completely.  I quit tobacco.  I stopped eating typical American foods.  I've... done a lot of good things, in the right direction.  I just couldn't do it quickly, perhaps not fast enough?  Dunno.  Is it about perfection?  Or coming to it?  You... can't win this game, as some people think of it.  And, by the time you are living better?  It is because you don't have a choice, one way or the other.

Poverty, or health (you'd be dead if you kept on), or other things will lead to better living.  Rarely is it pure choice.  That's the truth.  Of course, I've been given a heck of a long recovery loop, given all the givens.  The people you are seeing dying of "suddenly" are dying of what got me, only nearly forty years ago.  We don't... usually survive this long.  I am dying of suddenly, just not dead from it.

A shower is planned, first thing.  The bath mat is down, the foot towel for steeping out is splayed.  Clean clothes are ready.  As well, water is heating for the first coffee.  Water has been set for consumption through the morning.  Sure, I drink three to six bottles a day.  But I am eating less, so... okay.  Some days it is just water and two coffees.  Not losing an ounce, but... whatever.  Too inactive, can't do much about it either.

My source "over there" let me know when to call him today.  So I will.  Dairy is coming today, so after the shower I will make sure to unlock the front doors.  Just one cream and two dozen eggs this week.  My other eggs had gotten too old.  My fault, mind you.  They were quite fresh when I received them.  I... just... let them set too long.  This time I'll use them.  Sometimes I can eat eggs, sometimes I... pull back for a while.

I may just boil these eggs.  Chop bacon and cook it in a different way?  Plus?  Much easier to collect the bacon fat!  The only thing that bothers me, about every single y.t. recipe video?  They use non-stick.  Truly, that... is horrible.  Especially with something like bacon, which absolutely doesn't need it.  I have gone to carbon, stainless, or cast iron and have absolutely no problems with food sticking.  My griddle is carbon, and I flip my fried eggs easily.  Go with pans that are good for you.  Those non-stick, all of them, are chemicals you don't want to eat.

And, my stainless pot is no heavier, even with a thick bottom.  Women just want "fancy".  Find a... woman who isn't totally into vanity, cutesy, etc.  Or retrain her.  Or die terribly with her.  I guess that is one form of retirement plan?

A shower sure sounds good.  Then coffee, feeding Sassy, checking her litter, changing water.  A start to the day.  Medicine just went down.  Maybe clearing the freezertop to start the day, even before the shower?  Sounds good.  Yea, we'll see.  Hmm, might pull meat, oh and bacon.  I know bacon is meat, but... a named sort.  If I can find some.

I wonder... if I have a chuck roast in there?

On to the day.  Have a good one, when you get up.  Slowpoke.  :p
