A bit late.

.
.
Up around nine.  Just after.  Though, while I initially got to bed a short time after nineteen hundred, I remembered it was the day to do the bandage, replace it.  Now, I knew that the whole of the day, but dragged my feet on the process.  I had hoped to get a shower taken first.  But that never happened.

Anyway, so as I was going to bed, I did change the bandage.  Then went on to bed, making it in as suggested.  However, I couldn't sleep.  The wound hurt like heck.  I tried to bull through.  No chance, dice, hope of it.  So I got up, pulled that one off, and replaced it with a gauze border.  Keeping the packing in place, adding a few gauze squares on top.

But it still hurt too much to work with, so I added a bit of lidocaine spray.  Which... helped.  Still, it took two or three hours to get the wound to calm, so I could finally sleep.

A shower this morning.  If the wound stays reasonable, I'll put the better bandage type on in a bit.  I have some of the better ones in, extra, in case I need them.  These are wonderful, but... just a bit fussy, and sometimes painful.  So I... need to change them out.  The clinic is generous, I just... am... trying to make sure, if needed, I have more.  I really am motivated to get this wound healed.

Food is in the oven.  I won't cook today.  But I am hoping to clear, clean, and fatten the griddle.  So that it will be ready tomorrow, or soon.  And, just maybe, cook eggs and corned beef hash on it later as well.  Get it started and going.  I will need to begin practicing pancakes.  I want to be able to put them out quickly and easily, and in volume.  For a breakfast not this next time, if perhaps after it.  Sometime this year.  They guy they depend on for that went south for the summer.

Medicine in, my whole morning routine.  I need to get compression going again.  But am waiting to see if the wound is going to behave.  Sometimes changing that bandage is a nightmare.  This time was just a little rough, so far.  We'll see.  Doing my best.  Later.
