I, of course, add more. Who knows. I have the water heater to work with, trees to cut, a roof to put on the hen house (it's a pretty big hen house, mind you), and... well... a few other things. Still... I went looking for how to remove wallpaper. I want to get that going, possibly have it done, before my mother visits. If I don't she will simply try to wallpaper over the old. Not... going... to... happen. Oh, sure, I am certain some people enjoy wallpaper. I don't. I think I can get it off the concrete (placed over the rock wall when the back new addition was added). It will be a lot of elbow grease, but... The trickier part will be getting the three or four or five layers off drywall. Hint to people... don't paper over paper over paper! The other thing I went looking for is a side mounted garage door opener. I did find one that will probably work. There is a caveat with it, something I will have to research to know what that is for sure, then to physically measure something on my current garage door, or even make sure it is the right type of garage door. It is priced at what a premium regular garage door opener would cost, but then it does include the bells and whistles. While I could easily get by without all the bells and whistles, if it is a quality piece of gear and within $50 of the competition, it will do just fine. The only bad thing, sort of, at this point, is it runs on a 24v dc motor. Most likely, I am hoping because I can't find it, it will take standard home electricity and chop and parse that to work. At least the company offers a backup to it, for power outages and such. Not a completely unknown thing, more so in the winter, which is why I am considering it anyway.
Yes, yes. But I do have some of the gear, supplies, and such, for some of my doings. And, yeah, I know, I'm not the fastest kid on the block. But... look at how long it took me to move in the first place. Hmm, was it four or five years before I finally made it out here. Heck, when I finally decided it was time to leave my last fiancee, it took... a year, no... two. Somehow, even with me gearing up for it and talking about, it still startled her. *grins* She, "You can actually... you know... do things, walk, pack"! Yep. Later. I don't know if I will get to all of it, or any of it, frankly. Though I suspect I will. Having a few things done leads to more. And as I become... more sure... things will take less time to deliberate. Most of my work will probably need to be summer projects, which will cut down on what I do. But summer(ness) can be up to four, five, even six months around these parts. Oh, hush. I'll do what I do, when I can, as I may. I might even surprise you. Well, given my penchant, how can I NOT surprise you? Heh. I love me some womenz flak. Heh.
Well, later. I'll go back to plotting the takeover of my home and grounds. Ah, and a bit of music.

You have a hen house, any chickens wandering around in there?
ReplyDeleteNo chickens yet. I need that one side of the roof replaced first. Then I have to work up my nerve, figure out feed, and such. That is the plan though. Maybe a half dozen hens and a rooster, eventually... If I think I can handle making sure feed and such is good.
ReplyDeleteI don't think a few chickens are a lot of work, but it is work that can lead to a huge mess if not done, or a bunch of dead chickens. Though that can happen even with a modicum of care. Still, I need the roof, and a run for them built, with some sort of roof due to birds o' prey and climbing predators. It's... in the works, mostly.
