Well, not including any malpractice regarding daylight saving. Yes, it is that time of the year again. But what time was sleep? Yeah it was that fast, when I went down I went out. I think it was a bit beyond 18:00, for no good reason. I had long since finished my chores... The pails were given a final rinse, another jar of spelt was set to soak, this time weighed and noted, and the sourdoughs were stirred with one needing rejarred. If sourdough smells off, check the jar. There are things which will try to invade. I have another that will need fixed soon. Only have a few jars of that size, if I should start downsizing to quarts, even pints until I want to prep one of them for use... which would mean refrigerator time.
Hmm? Yes, my hobbies are invading mind and blog. As I was saying... twice over... When I woke I hit the soaking grains. Flushing the water several times, stirring them around. No sure traces of sprouting yet. I'll be checking them as I go about life today. I want to catch them early in the process, stopping it almost immediately. With so much, beside grinding for flour, I will be course grinding some as cereal, perhaps to try in mixtures and on it's own, but also some dried whole to be added to soups and other dishes. Perhaps cooked and added to salads once cooled. Could vacuum seal some, for a type of original MRE, especially if mixed with dehydrated vegetables and with or beside jerky... which I need to get back to producing. Crazy food ideas out there. - Then I fed the sourdoughs. Oh, I'll get cat litter in a sec. Stay on that and it really lasts. Pay with elbow or wallet.
Today. Minor efforts in the kitchen. Food. Trash... nothing to take out and only one bag in the bin. The bathroom will be smoothed, sweeping a bit of scrubbing and cobwebs need removed. Uhrm, after I finish waking. That will leave Monday open for an invasion into the kitchen. I am getting there. Later.
