.
Fair enough, I keep pushing. Games, food, driving, etc. Up at
11:30. Down? Two? Three? I can't be sure.
Blood sugar is

fasting. I... expected it to be in the 230 range. Especially after eating last night. Okay. Not
perfect, but better than hoped. We'll see in the next few days
though. Sometimes it doesn't crest for a while.
Got a call from the doctor's office, a nurse. A1C is 9.7... I think is
what they said. Pretty high. Doctor wants me on medication.
Thing is, I have only just now, finally, eating in such a way that blood sugar
has come down. Still, I said sure. They will be sending it.
I'll look it over. Any reason not to, and I won't. I'm finally
losing weight and size. Blood sugar is coming down, parting when I
feast. I won't take a medication which keeps me ill, or drops my blood
sugar like a rocket whenever... it wants. Still, sure.
The new sugar substitute is in. It was looking like it wouldn't show
until next week. Not sure how that sometimes takes so long, and other
times looks to be taking long, then ends up here so quickly. Certain
centers *anywhere in Illinois, cough* are notorious for taking three days to
get through. And, sometimes, they will send a package from Kentucky (a
fast throughput, usually here the next day) over to somewhere in
Illinois. To slow it down. I have to guess they do that because
the local warehouse is packed? There is no room, and the timeline shoot
through is limited... due to how many workers in the shop, and how many trucks
delivering. But... this one... must have gotten the greenlight. It
rocketed here after being sent to the Illinois package purgatory.
Oh, that is for cranberry sauce. I just need cranberries, a good orange
for the peel, and... water? Something. I'll look again. I
really want to make that, see if it is hard on blood sugar. Ought to
compare it with a sugared one? We'll see. But I will try
this. I love cranberry sauce, more so the textured one, not the jelly
one.
I'll take the meat off the turkey bones today. And, maybe, see if the
chicken is any good. If so, roast that as well. Pulling the meat
off that too. As well, cook the squash. It's a little acorn
squash, but should provide enough for several days rations. I'm not as
worried about squash, in the diet, as sweet potatoes. Hmm, though that
is just a feeling. I ought to look those up, for carb counts.
And medicine. I need to get that, and some of the supplements.
Trying to remember the new method for those... two in the morning, one in the
evening. Just opposite of how I take carvedilol. Do that for a
week, see how the numbers run. It's difficult not to try to overreact to
a single high or low number. But you... sort of have to let the dice
roll until they settle, and often enough to get a handle on things.
Well... on to my day. Hopefully to sleep earlier tonight. No food,
including fatted coffee or bone broth, until 14:00. Then I can eat until
20:00, as much (meat) as I want. If I can cook though? Bleh.
Or eat. Nausea is back. That turkey (mine, from last night) did me
no favors. My oven may need cleaning. Might be smoking the meat
but with rancid smoke? There is a huge difference. The smoked
turkey for dinner was perfect. Not so much my version. Or... my
turkey just wasn't... as good as it seemed? Dunno.
Some gaming, too. While gaming isn't great? It sure beats just
sitting here. It's not a great thing, but it is SOMETHING. I hope
to get on to a bit more. But, for now, getting medicine in, gaming for a
bit, and preparing to pull the turkey meat from the bones... is
something. Maybe more, dishes? toasting the chicken? maybe
cleaning the oven before roasting the chicken? Such. We'll
see. Later.
Oh... a bit of a grump. Mostly from the past. Odd how... we, at
once, thought we had it all... under control? understood? Then... God
says... just a few things, to start. Once we hear, and the words start
to roll, and make sense? Humility?
And more. Which hurts, until it graces. Still, we are... what we
are. He calls those who will do His will, in a certain way. Those
who cannot hear, will... do His will in another way. Odd that. I
thought, for a long time, that other way was my way. He is
patient. I... hear Him. Now.
