.
I may need to take a nap shortly, for whatever reason. A bit of kefir
first. I have been off that for a while. Not because it became
boring. More because I got lame about keeping up on it. Well, and,
had some time where I couldn't afford it. Mix and match and it dropped
out of use. Trying to get back to it.
Yea, some kefir, and a bit of studying. I found a tutorial on the slide
rule which seems to be, so far, better. I think the problems with some
of the tutorials is that they weren't clear which scales they were using, or
how they were getting there solution, exactly. I am hoping this one goes
further into a few other scales. Yes, he is going slow. But, that
seems to be needed, for me, for now.
I should get to rabbit chores, and pull the water bottles while at it. I have all the waterers filled, did that last night. So I won't be juggling those. I need to get more feed, for both types of critters, soon. Probably a thing for tomorrow. Not completely out, maybe a day or two of food for the birds, a week or two for the rabbits. Yes, best get more.
I am hoping August is cooler. I have no reason to believe it will be. But, if I get some decent cooling, say keeping 80's as highs and 70's as somewhat frequent temps, I will begin letting the rabbits do their thing. Not all of them, say two small does and two large does, at a time. See what I get from those. If that does well, or not really, then a month after, begin the second group of does. So I always have rabbits at various levels of readiness.
It takes a month with momma, then a month of feeding, before these rabbits are ready to eat? Or was it longer? Actually, I think this rabbits take longer, like double the length of time to get to size. If so, it will take a month with their mothers, then three months of feeding? You want a certain weight. The little ones will get to about five to five and an half pounds, the bigger ones get more like to twelve pounds, both producing about 60% of that as meat. Or... that is how I have heard it.
Hmm? I wonder if you can figure that out on a slide rule? :P Actually, I am sure you can. That might be my first attempt at a practical use of said. Why not, that is what it is for. But, before I can do that, I need to get the practicals down. Which means study. First the rabbits, then the study, perhaps a nap after that.
Trash and recycling to be put out tonight. Another shower, and this time a shave. Some cleaning in the bathroom, if possible. And some laundry. If mostly study and chores, as to any real work today. Good afternoon, day, Sunday, and all. Oh, I should get something to eat. I think the soup should still be good, and I have fresh vegetables that might yet be serviceable? All good, either, any, way. Later.
