I keep trying to sort this game.  Having realized how much better a dex weapon was, and being inextricably stuck with that first 'toon, I started a second, this time dex, build.  It... was doing better.  Until a certain boss.

I wasn't needing to hyper level, if I did some of that.  And, all leveling mats are being used for the better weapon.  I made it through a boss and three mini bosses (often harder than actual bosses, if the fights are shorter (if you can win) and sometimes optional.

Then, now again, stuck.  The problem, I think, is that the game is requiring blocking.  But the hit box for that is horrible, the controls (in game) are like sludge (even with fast weapons), and the block mechanic is pretty much dirt.  It usually doesn't work.  Many of the mechanics, including repost, is broken.  You have to stand in a given location to repost, but that is sometimes so far away there is no way to get to it, or it is hidden under the boss/mob.  Trash.  Required trash.

Add, that if you don't block, it seems like the boss begins self healing (even while you continue to pound it), and your damage near the end can become almost neglible, even with your weapon sharpened.  It is requiring a block in order to finish the current boss (the one the dex 'toon is stuck on anyway, though maybe the strength build too?).

But, toward the end of the fight, the boss is an absolute maniac.  No rhyme, reason, or method.  Like trying to grab a cat on fire.  Only... a huge cat.  Lousy mechanics, cheap cheat difficulty.  Just understand, you won't win until the game lets you.  If you can live with that, and understand that up front, this game is for you.

Oh, my strength build is at level 72, where he should probably be level, say, 20?  And he is still stuck.  Leveling, even overleveling, is irrelevant.  You can't really do it.  It doesn't even help with the yard trash mobs.  Not... my favorite game.  Just something to tinker with, if now with eyes wide open.
