The Lies of P, without updating it anyway, isn't worth playing.  Now, both of my characters are stuck.  Getting good isn't possible.  Leveling more is... impractical in the amount of time to level even once, with the exp from available opponents.  It would take, my strength build, an hour for a level or two of mindless grinding.  Three or four levels for my dex build.

I have tried the bosses, continuously.  Hitting them five to ten times before going back to attempt more leveling.  I have tried blind blocking, studied blocking, just beating the things and dodging.  No way through.

I noticed with Souls game, there sometimes, on some bosses, was a timer.  You couldn't win, due to "r&g" (magic ones) until a certain amount of in-game plus possibly real time had passed.  Which is why "going and doing something else for a while" allowed you to get, impossibly, gud.  You... didn't get gud, the game just opened the r&g to even allow the possibility of beating a particular boss.

Is that on all bosses?  No.  And, as mentioned, I surmise it may even be slightly random as to which bosses will be impossible on which playthrough or account.  Not absolutely certain, I just know the games are rigged.  This one is the absolute worst for that.

Oh?  And the better you do?  Say you beat some mini bosses easily?  They may then increase the difficulty further.  I'm not sure how to get around the blockages.  Time isn't working.  Uber overleveling doesn't work.  And, as I tried with my dex build, not overleveling doesn't help.  There simply isn't a way through.  And blocking, dodging, damaging through, doesn't get it. 

I quit.  The game simply isn't playable.  Sure, if you update it, you can play on easy modes.  Or if you have a pc, you can hack the game.  But... that's... not how I do.  It had potential.  It just isn't playable in an honest run.  Oh well.

Back to trying to figure out the 28 endings in Nier Automata.  At least that game is playable, if byzantine.  Later.
