Oh, it just kills me to make these. Unfortunately it only takes on pan, goes together with any of a number of ingredients on hand, can be specialized, customized, or planned, on the fly or in advance. Horrible, I tell you. And, worse? It's tasty and filling enough that you really don't eat too much. Terrible! Well, according to modern medicine it is terrible. They want you to eat what they tell you to eat so they can sell you the pills they sell. No thank you.
I have never used actual salami on pizza before. Pepperoni, sure. I just don't think it will work. Still, that is what I had, which I wouldn't have to slice, so... on it went. I did try dehydrated onion. It is supposed to be lower carb than regular onion. Plus, it soaks up the fats for both flavor and the added fat bonus I need for keto. Oh, I'm liking this diet. Eating a bit too much green in an attempt to boost potassium, which is probably limiting ketosis. It's a simple choice though. If you have ever had very low potassium, you'll know. It's like, when driving tired, and you blink, and then you hear the rattling as your tires head off the road! Wake Up!
I'll tell you though, that meal is superior. Hamburger, the way I buy it, is expensive up front but cheaper in the long haul by far. Cheese, while not cheap, can be shredded and frozen, and, again, expensive up front, cheaper in the distance, and I mean gooder cheese (if not that made by monks after meditating under a waterfall each day for six months). As to other toppings? With or without. But a few options, singularly or as groups... onion, olives, spinach (or other greens, even used kale... practice gets each type down), maybe sardines or a few anchovies (untested, but on the theory board to be tried), salsa (after it is done), any cheese... one or many, sour cream or even cream cheese... I might even consider shelling half an serving of pistachios other nut... pine nuts might even be better... plus easier to yank that rocky mountain oysters... which might also be good on a meatzza? I am not into cooked oyster, so I'd skip that.
This meatzza, actually, is probably my favorite so far. The only thing that might have made it better would be pine nuts but more spinach... or another green. Still, if I hadn't eat three fifths of it, I might hang it on the wall... for a while.
