The attempt a success.

.
.
I tell you, it is rare that I don't sleep between six and ten hours a day, usually in the middling range unless I push things.  Unfortunately, if I push things, I usually can reverse any setback, which is why my days shift, only in one direction.  I have become more resistant to change and yet it is inevitable.  Being just one day, there is a chance I can put this late to bed crack in the sleep, then late start, back to a reasonable time.  Maybe.

As is, the fan was enough for me to sleep on until 10:30.  Oh, I need sleep.  Short periods of sleep are hard on me.  Sometimes rest will help, that is retiring without sleeping, just reclining quietly.  Though, far more often, if awake, that isn't an option.  Even if I happen to be very sleepy, that just isn't always something I can mechanically get my body to do.  When I am awake I am AWAKE.  So, yes, I was pleased.  It's been quite some time since I dream lived, or lived between sleep and wakefulness, until life became a painful blur.  I like to keep the past in the past.

A bite to eat, then setting the alarm to remember to feed the girls.  I usually prefer to feed them several hours after waking.  It lowered the incentive for them to wake me, including clawing and drawing blood... not a good thing for a diabetic or a man with a bad heart.  And, yes, it worked.  If you don't want your animal in control, don't GIVE THEM control.  Take it.  Same with kids or wife.  Choose.  But then don't whine when you are walked all over.  Anyway... if I wake this late, or later than what has been usual, I will cut the time to an hour and an half.  It simply works to keep them from waking me.  Well, and the negatives they get if I catch them.

The girls sure like clean litter.  Though a hot or cold outside might play a part too.  Yesterday, for the first time that I have seen though it probably happens more often, with fresh litter boxes, and being kept up, Sam came INSIDE to do her business.  Usually she wants out for that, even if they have been kept up.  I'll bet she has some cutoff.  I wish I could know what it is, because, even tending the litter boxes (3: 1 per cat plus one) there comes a point where she won't use it.  I ought to mark things on my calendar and experiment.  It's not so much spoiling them, as it is learning to satisfy their simple needs.  It is better for all involved, especially in winter months when going outside isn't possible.

Food!  Right.  The last of the meatzza.  I have eaten all of the ziti that I may. Which reminds me... blood sugar test... and that reads... fasting... 236.  As I said, when I finished those things I would be back to intermittent fasting.  Not today, of course.  And, initially, just daily.  I will eat, tonight, after 17:00, until 21:00 (though tonight I won't eat a fasting meal, just a regular one, just use the time window in which to do so).  Then I won't eat again until tomorrow evening at 17:00, throughout the window as needed.  I am thinking crack slaw, or my own derivative of it.  This afternoon I may begin stock.  Other than those listed activities, all else is good will offering.
