At least with cooking. Mostly. Okay, the beef was too slightly seasoned. Fine, it's been a while since I've done one of these. And... I ran out of water, so there will be no pan juices. Bleh. But I didn't burn the roast. It was just exactly right. I even checked it half the way through the cooking. Oh well. I then let the roast cool while I went to work on the chinese cabbage. Not bok choy (?), the other one. I sliced it in bigger rustic squares, an inch and an half, perhaps. I had the cast pan going, then added butter and let that sizzle while I diced the beef. A bit smaller than the cabbage, still rather rustic big cuts. I then let the cabbage run through for five or seven minutes, added the beef and let it all go for another five minutes. Salt, pepper flakes, black pepper, and garlic were added, just a dusting of each. Wonderful. There is enough left for another couple of meals, and a third of the beef. It wasn't such a big feast as a smaller roast.
Ugh. I didn't have enough milk to refresh the kefir, but I did get to the refrigerator. With nothing in that little one, I unplugged it. After a bit of a break I will see if I can begin drying the dishes and putting them away. If I can get through that? I am sure hoping for a shower. And maybe to wash the socks. I'd love to just wash them while I'm showering, but I believe they are heat intolerant and I shower hot. Or, sometimes. Probably hotter than most would like, most of the time. Nothing is always or ever, is it? Save God.
If I do get these things done I will be quite pleased. Oh! Ugh! The stock! I can get that going anytime. It will be easy, once the pot has been dried, the pot I will be using... and emptied of what else is rinsing in it. Not all that much of a day, just a rush at the end. Still, I am already mostly happy with it. If shot, again, too. Definitely good night, if I won't get to bed for another couple of hours. Fasting starts tomorrow, just the daily thing. Nothing by mouth, save non-caloried liquids with the exception of one whole cream drink and a cup of bone broth. Nice... back to it, for now.
