I am still awake. But they started it. Got a call from the VA. They want blood tests before the next visit. So... okay. I then tried to have them connect me with my primary care up there. But that didn't work. So I called through again, went through a different system.
They sent me to a nursing management system. They took way too much time verifying, but... It's done. Then, set me up with a nurse practitioner? Or such. Hopefully to be simply sent medication, so I don't have to go out. I... have doubts.
If they want me to go to a local emergency room, I will... but not until Monday. I... need sleep. Badly. And lots of it. I have just pushed too hard. There is some hope that they can just send a heavy antibiotic, for a bit longer of a time. Just... send it. Then I can... wait, take it when it gets here. Sleep for days or weeks as needed, though maybe make it out a few times this coming month.

Return call. Turned into a video messaging thing. It turns out, weeks of fever isn't probably a good thing. Some belief that that infection is outside the wound, in the body. No guff, as my friend would have said. Something about not liking three weeks or more of fever and chills, and such. Just getting back to the post...
But... a local ER will do. So, okay. I'll call, first. Make sure they don't require a mask. If they do, that won't work. I'll call around. But... I really wanted to wait until Monday. She was pretty sure I shouldn't. Like... really sure. So... okay. But first, a shower. Then to check about the mask If I can find a local ER that doesn't require masks... I'll get a shower and get in.
But, no, I won't stay overnight. Just looking for medications. And, then, to come home and sleep for... as long as possible. Ugh.
Did I mention, blood sugar was 120 this morning? Not exactly happy with it, but that's less than it has been. Blood sugar is to 118. Not perfect, but better than it has been the last three to four days, if close to more typical averages, on mostly fasting days from the past.
Don't worry. I don't think it really... matters. I don't think it's half as bad as they... or the symptoms... indicate. I just don't get to die, anyway. So... yeah. Still, I'll get that (or those) call made, shower if it works out. And get in to see them this afternoon. Later.
