Getting the bandages off was easy enough. Even clearing the big wound of the honey packing went pretty good. Washing it out a couple of times? All good. Putting the stuff back in, for whatever reason, is causing levels of agony I can't well describe.
No, no compression. Wool socks. But without wool socks, that wound gets cold, and hurts even worse. No, have to have to wool socks, but can't do anything else. I am hoping, within the hour, that the pain will subside. Currently, it is waves of absolutely horrible pain.
I am going to ask for a heaping bit of strong lidocaine, just for the bandaging moment. It was like this with the other stuff, too. Actually, pain is doing better. It used to start with taking off the bandaging, through the shower often, and when putting it all back together. Not every time, but often enough.
Will I be able to get out this weekend? I don't know. Depends on if I can wear socks. But... getting there. Packed the other wounds, too. Things are improving. But that pain, while working the old wound, is amazingly excruciating. I don't... think I can keep up with that without something.
A few pieces of chicken. And, when dairy shows, coffee. Oh... I took some painpills, but I don't think they are doing anything. But something is. The body has a heck of a chem lab. It's... starting to kick in. It'll still be a while, but I... feel that warmth, that... floaty feel.
Later.
