Long after I intended, that is all I am sure. Several hours, four, six, hours after planned. I just couldn't go to bed. I kept thinking about changing the bandaging. And... the more I thought of it, the more I got caught in some kind of loop. I feared even touching it, yet my mind was pushing me to just get to it. And... in that loop, I got stuck.
Fine. Now, I never did mess with the main wound. But I did the little wounds as I was crawling in to bed. And, this morning as I was getting out. The smallest one, on the knee, had a dime, half dime maybe, sized scab. I was sure it was time for that to come off. In retrospect, probably not so much. But it's done.
I pulled the one off the hand, the last one, a while ago. It probably wasn't ready yet either. But... it's... okay. I'm still using ointment on those areas. When I bother bandaging. But I like to give them some time to get fresh air, cure as it were, too. So... a few days of twice daily rebandaging, then a few days of open air exposure.
I can't say my plan is supercharging healing, at least compared to what it does on it's own. But, really, it is healing at a supercharged pace. The only thing that seems to have increased the speed of healing has been adding regular food to the mix. And mostly protein, at that.
The knee is... a malingering ugly mess. The bruise is proving difficult. The wound ON the knot is improving, but at an even slower pace. I... just want my knee back. I'm not a lefty, when it comes to knee usage. I guess I never realized there was a dominant knee. When you have two to choose from, I suppose you at best use the most convenient, or less painful to use. But I'm pretty sure, in retrospect, that it was the right knee most of the time.
A shower, shortly, it is hope. Whether I change the bandage on the main, and old, wound or not. But that is on my mind.
The VA called. Set up a local heart doctor appointment. I was hoping we would get that going. Then, called back later, with something at the VA in SLC. No, no, no, and no, to that. Someone is already seeing me for renal. I'm not sure who is ordering all these tests. If they really want them, sure, alright. But... it has to be local, and they have to include me in the loop. Or I will absolutely, flat out, cancel and not look back. Not a fuss? Well, maybe. But I'm not here for greens fees, and medical cost fishing. I don't just go, do. If I see it coming, am asked to participate, know who is doing it and why? We'll... talk. But I'm not going to get three different ultrasounds on my kidneys in two months, or probably any procedure which could be dangerous. Nothing where I am rendered unconscious. At this point, I'm guessing they are looking for a way to bump me from the lists.
When your government, big business, big pharma, bit medical, are all under the same advisory, best to be very careful. At best, they will openly experiment. At worst, they will attempt to eliminate the expensive, or intractably ill. With as many illegals as they have being even flown in, they don't need or want you. Even if you can work, less if you can't.
Hmm? Right... Coffee, some chicken, and waking up. Good... morning, afternoon, evening.
